Provenance: Mrs Thomas Weldon Trench (1833-1872); By descent to Ruth Browning; By whom given in 1948 to Leo Coote; Private collection Mounted in a gilt-tooled red buckram album with photographs and ephemera relating to the Trench family, particularly to William Steuart Trench of Essex Castle, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, land agent for the Marquis of Bath and the Marquis of Lansdowne, and his son Thomas Weldon Trench, agent for Lord Digby's estate at Geashill ( Co.s Offaly and Westmeath). Also with many identified photographs of Irish peers and an envelope addressed by the Duke of Wellington. In addition there are original drawings contained within by Mrs Steuart Trench. An interesting lot.
