Description

This folio, hand-colored lithograph is from Robert McIan & James Logan's The Clans of the Scottish Highlands. The work was published in London by Willis & Sotheran in 1857. James Logan completed the text for the work and the art is by Robert Ronald McIan. Each image represents the highland clans of Scotland and features their tartans. This set was brought about by the interest of Queen Victoria into her Scottish Heritage. McIan & Logan's work was the first comprehensive illustrated work on Scottish clans with descriptive history.

The work is in very good to excellent condition overall. There is some extremely light foxing mostly near the edges in this work. Please review the image carefully for condition and contact us with any questions.
