Description

Mary Chilton Gray (American, 1888-1969), fall landscape with winding stream; oil on board; 15 3/4" x 17 5/8"; signed and dated 1931 lower right. Gray was born in Philadelphia. She trained at the Herron Art Institute of Indianapolis, later moving to Taos, NM and eventually to Denver where she became a muralist at the Museum of Natural History.
