MARTIN FERDINAND QUADAL (1736-1811) A Still Life of Grapes and Other Fruit with Baskets and a Chinese Bowl on a Ledge Oil on canvas, 64 x 78cm The stretcher with a contemporary inscription ''No. 1 Rev. W. Montgomery'' and with the remains of a trade label of ''Allens Warehouse Dublin'' M.F.Quadal was in Dublin by 1779 and afterwards moved to London. He subsequently became Master of the St. Petersburgh Academy. Provenance: Beaulieu House, Drogheda, Co. Louth, sold by order of the Executors
