Provenance:
Dyffryn Hall, Powys, Wales, home of Clement Edward Davies leader of the Liberal Party 1945-55 thence by decent.
Mario Rutelli was born near Palomo 4th April 1859> He exhibited at the Italian Salons and then at the Paris Universal exhibiton in 1878. The gallery of modern art in Rome has a bust by him of Domenico Morelli.
