Condition Report

Original canvas. There are areas of craquelure particularly in the upper quadrant and small areas of localised craquelure elsewhere. There are three faint horizontal stretcher bar marks. The surface is clean and the painting presentable and ready to hang. The varnish appears uneven under ultraviolet light. There is a vertical line of retouching to the girl's cloak, localised minor retouching to her dress and within the background; a small vertical line of retouching in the lower left corner. Held in a gilt plaster frame.
