An officer, in red-piped blue military uniform with silver buttons, epaulettes and aiguillettes, wearing the badges of the Royal French Orders of St Louis and the Legion of Honour, red-lined blue cloak held with a silver chain
signed and dated 'Pauline Augustin 1827.' (lower right)
on ivory (artist's joins)
