NOTE

A homage to the poems of the Russian poet and artist Velimir Khlebnikov (1885-1922), a founder of Russian Futurism and a leader in zaum poetry, who delved into the roots of the Russian language to compose poetry based on sounds alone. Virtually untranslatable from the original, his works frequently demonstrate minute changes in each line, taking an idea or concept through gradual changes in a way that was to be re-used much later in the work of text-influenced artists such as Bruce Nauman.
