Luigi Busi (1838-1884, Italian) The Reading of The Will, Indistinctly signed bottom right, extensively inscribed in Italian on the reverse; also with an old cataloguing description, Oil sketch on panel, 19.5 x 29cm, unframed The old Italian inscription translates as follows: '...The Reading of The Will, a work by my talented friend Luigi Busi, the Bolognese artist... La Di Lui the Widow Signora Elisa Puggioli, me ne fece dono in Bologna 17th December 1887'.
