Notes

The Assembly Rooms in Georgetown were destroyed in the great fire of 23rd February 1945, the fire devasted the old commercial centre of Georgetown and many buildings of great architectural value were lost. The site is currently occupied by The National Museum of Guyana.

Lt. Voorduin was stationed in as a sea-officer for six years in Suriname and the Netherland Antilles and his work was reproduced in lithograph by E. van Heemskerk van Beest in "Views from the Netherland's West Indies", published 1860-62.
