GARRETT POND, WOODS HOLE, CAPE COD, MASSACHUSETTS and BRIDGE OVER CREEK: TWO WORKS, first signed lower right, located and inscribed on label affixed to reverse, oil on canvas. Second, signed and initialed lower right. Gouache on paper - Unframed: 14 in. x 12 in. and 14 in. x 17 in.

Louise B. Jennings was a well-known Baltimore painter who
studied under William Merritt Chase
and Everett Lloyd Bryant. Jennings was
a member of the Baltimore Society
of Independent Artists, the
Baltimore Watercolor Club and the
Laguna Beach (California) Art Club.
She and her husband, the noted
zoologist Herbert Spencer Jennings,
often traveled together to California
where Mrs. Jennings often painted.
