12" x 16", signed and dated, "Bonn, ’94". Loeb studied at the Academie Julian and with Gerome in Paris. He exhibited from the 1890s-1900s at the Paris Salon, National Academy of Design, Art Institute of Chicago, and the Boston Art Club. He worked as an illustrator and executed numerous commissions for magazines.
