Louis Jambor (1884-1955) Orchids In A Vase This is a great still-life of orchids in a vase. The orchids appear life like with their fantastic colors. Jambors' artistic talents were recognized early, as the government provided him with a 5 year scholarship to attend the Royal Art Academy in Budapest. Upon graduating he spent several years studying religious art in Italy and under Frank Gebhard in Dusseldorf, Germany. Jambor received many awards and accolades and was elected to the Royal Academy of The Society Of Art before he moved to the United States in 1923. Signed lower left. Measures: 30" Tall X 36" Wide. Condition: Very Good, except for a small ding on upper left side of painting and surface dirt.
