PROPERTY OF A PRIVATE COLLECTOR, NEW YORK STATE
Louis de Moni took as his subject a youth and young woman playing jeu d'oie, or Gansespel, in another painting, signed and dated 1743, sold London, Christie's, March 23, 1990, lot 53. The figure of the youth in this and the Christie's picture are very much alike; both wear a brown coat and cap, have similarly animated facial features, and wavy light brown hair.
