Lilly (Hofmann) Steiner (Austrian, 1884-1962), Ein alter Praterbaüme, 1925,
signed, inscribed, and dated "...1925 Lilly Steiner" on the reverse, titled and
inscribed "...Herr Dr. Hans Tietze!/ zum weihnachtsabend 1926" in pencil l.l., identified on a label from Este Gallery, New York, ink on paper, sheet size 19 3/4 x 13 3/4 in. (50.2 x 34.9 cm); Franziska Zach (German, 1900-1930), Figure on a Park Bench, unsigned, identified on a label from Este Gallery, New York, inscribed indistinctly in German l.r., ink on paper, sheet size 13 x 16 1/2 in. (33.0 x 34.3 cm); Anton Hanak (Austrian, 1875-1934), Self Portrait, signed, dated and inscribed "ANTON HANAK/STOCKHOLM 4·IX·1917" l.r., identified on a label from Este Gallery, New York, affixed to the backing, ink on paper, sight size 11 x 8 3/4 in. (63.5 x 22.2 cm); Praterbaüme and Bench unframed, Portrait framed.
Condition: Praterbaüme with acid burn to the margins, Bench tape hinged to window mat, Portrait not examined out of frame.

Provenance: Ex-collection of art historian Dr. Hans Tietze through Este Gallery, New York; gift from the late collection of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Polk, Long Island, New York, and Midwale, New Jersey, to the present owner.
