*Lorenz Strauch (1554-1636) PORTRAIT OF A MAN HOLDING GLOVES signed with monogram LS and inscribed with the sitter's age and date AETATIS SUA 49 ANO 1593 oil on canvas 36 1/2 by 31 1/2 in. 92.7 by 80cm. Strauch, a native of Nuremberg, was both a painter and draughtsmen. Known for his portraits of the local aristocracy, Strauch's style is reminiscent of Nicolas Neufchatel.
