Description

1901 1st ed Lives of Hunted, Ernest Thompson Seton (1860-1946) was a prominent wildlife author. He also founded the Woodcraft Indians and was one of the founding pioneers of the Boy Scouts of America. He wrote several books on Scouting and was a pioneer of the modern school of animal fiction writing. ‘Lives of the Hunted’ is a collection of eight short stories and each one bears its underlying message of the kinship between man and animals. Five of the stories relate to four-footed animals and three to birds. New York: C. Scribner's Sons, 1901. First edition.
