款識：
臨撫石鼓琅玡筆，戲為雙梅一寫真。嬌紅敢向雪中出，萬花綻放天下春。壬子（1972）大寒，呵凍畫贈寅佐老弟博正。劉海粟，時年七十七。

鈐印：劉海粟、曾經滄海、心跡雙清、一洗萬古凡馬空

上款：「寅佐」為施寅佐（1911-1987），江蘇崇明人。劉海粟星洲友人，原新加坡中華書局經理，收藏家。一九七三年十月，曾由夏伊喬代筆劉海粟至信劉抗、陳人浩云，「寅佐先生賢伉儷回國觀光，在滬晤談數次，大家很高興」，可知畫家與施氏友情匪淺，本作或為其上海之行中所獲寫贈，後為現藏家所得。
