In-8°. - Édition originale. Tirage à 300 ex., un des 290 courants sur vergé teinté (ex. non num.). - Enrichi, par P.-A. Benoit : d'un dessin d'un trait continu à la mine de crayon, signé et dédié "Pour G[eorges].L[eroux ?]." sur le faux titre,- et de 2 lettres aut. s. [à Marianne Delvaulx] : 1. s.d., 2 pp. in-8° : "ici c'est depuis hier la tempête et l'été n'est toujours pas venu. Ce sont les abominables libraires [... qui font les] prix des reliures et des livres faisant casquer les clients et raquer les producteurs". Il lui envoie un catalogue d'exposition, un "petit livre" à relier ("vous pouvez placer les gouaches où vous voulez [...]"), peut-être un autre encore, et toujours "avec toute l'élégance de la modestie [...] Mais de grâce s'amuser".-- 2. 5 sept., s.d. : "l'été semble fini, il fait ici frais et aussi tout semble fini...". Il lui suggère de faire un bradel puisque cela va plus vite mais "cela ne m'intéressera plus. et avant l'ennui est tel qu'il faut rechercher tout ce qui peut un peu le tromper [...]".

Bradel signé [Georges] Leroux, demi-box gris-vert à fines bandes, plats de serpent blanc peint aux encres grise, vert pâle et vieux rose renforçant l'effet peau de serpent, dos lisse titré à l'oeser blanc, couv. et dos cons. Sous étui bordé et plats de papier éléphant vieux rose.

Auction - Terms of sale

The purchaser shall pay, strictly cash, the hammer price, in €, together with a premium of 25 %, eventually plus the resale tax, if applicable: 4 % for hammer prices from € 2000 on, only for original art and if the author died less than 70 years ago.
The auction follows the order indicated by the catalogue. The biddings start at about 80 % of the lowest estimate and each bid must be +/? 10% higher than the previous one. In case of a dispute the lot will be called again.
The auctioneer has the right to refuse a bid, and this without further explanation.
Each buyer by making a bid acknowledges the conditions of sale and the fact that he has inspected the purchased item.
The auctioneer has the right to split a lot or join several lots.
Lots with two or more titles, series or periodicals, or lots with a mention "n.c." and 'sold w.a.f.'are not collated and cannot be returned.
Each buyer is supposed to buy for his own account and cannot claim any commission. Each bidder should inspect the lots during the exhibition. Under no circumstances can an item, once sold, be returned. For lots bought via a bidding order remarks or complaints, also concerning the authenticity of the items, should be formulated within 2 weeks after the auction. After that delay no item can be returned.
