NOTE

The present work is unique.

Riverrun is the first and last word of James Joyce's final novel, Finnegan's Wake, which famously begins, 'Riverrun past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay, brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs...'. It was only published in 1939 after he had worked on it for 17 years and the sense of movement generated by the opening line is reflected by the smooth elegant forms of the present work.

Higgins established the CAST foundry in Dublin in 1988 and since then has become particularly well known for his versatile casting technique working with artists such as John Behan, Melanie le Brocquy, Imogen Stuart, and Sonja Landweer amongst many others.
