Not viewed unframed. The sheet is affixed to backing card. There is a slight undulation to the sheet. The edges of the sheet are uneven, which appears to be inkeeping with the artist's working method. There appear to be several small pinholes in the upper right corner, possibly inkeeping with the artist's working method. There is some minor reticulation to the dark blue pigments in the upper centre of the composition. There is also some craquelure, cupping and possible paint loss to some of the white and orange-brown impasto in the central areas of the composition. There is some minor surface dirt and studio detritus across the work. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good condition. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is framed and glazed, float mounted and housed in a simple painted wooden frame.
