Renckens, 'Leendert Maertensz. van Haestar', Oud-Holland 65 (1950), p. 199-202 (title 'De Woede van Ahasverus'). The symbolic figures on the right, the jester with the noose and Death with his hour glass, refer to the approaching fate of Haman.
