Notes

German born artist Lee Lawrie received early training in the studios of Richard H. Park in Chicago and Augustus Saint-Gaudens in New York before going on to complete commissions for several major Art-Deco buildings throughout the United States. The present work is a unique cast commissioned for the California Institute of Technology.
