Leander Russ (1809 - 1864), A group of four, including; the view of the pyramids of Gizeh; a Nile view; figures by a ruined temple and the projected title page for the unpublished volume of Egyptian views, three watercolours and one pen, ink, and grey wash, all unframed, the largest 35 x 43 cm (4).

Leander Russ (1809 - 1864). These drawings and watercolours were executed during a tour of the Middle East between 1838 and 1842. Russ intended to publish and illustrated account of his travels and this collection includes a projected title page but the account was never published.
