A.L.S., 2pp. 8vo., London, Apr. 11, 1850 to his fellow surgeon and pupil Dr. A. Farre discussing: "...the direct continuation of surface between the external affair and the mucous membrane and peritoneal covering of the intestine...I shall be unwilling to resort to the hot iron unless from absolute necessity..."
