The schooner Victoria of Blyth in two positions in the Sound and passing Kronborg Castle
signed and dated 'L.P. Sjostrom 1869.' (lower right) and inscribed 'Victoria of Blyth, J. Clark, Commander.' (lower centre)
watercolour and bodycolour heightened with gum arabic

Notes

Built at Ramsgate in 1848, Victoria was registered at 108 tons and measured 71 1/2 feet in length with a 20 foot beam. In 1869, she was owned by E. Wilkinson and was trading out of Blythe to the Baltic under Captain J. Clarke.
