18 1/2 x 12 1/2 inches 47 x 31.7 centimeters on verso signed, titled and dated 1997 Provenance:Presentation House Gallery Auction, 2009 Private Collection, Vancouver Larry Towell was Canada's first photographer to be associated with Magnum, the prestigious photography agency. He has won numerous international awards, including being the first recipient of the Henri Cartier-Bresson Award. Towell's work among the Mennonite communities in Mexico and Ontario has been documented in the Phaidon book The Mennonites, published in 2000. The negative was produced in 1997 and this print is dated October 8, 1998.
