No. 68 of 260 copies.

Signed by Russell on the limitation-page. Langsdorff was a naturalist with Kruzenshtern on his voyage aroung the world. This volume reprints the California-related portion of his work, and includes a reproduction of the first published view of San Francisco, which was issued with the original German edition but not its English translation.
