(73mm.) high Literature: Foskett, 1979, p.252, ill. p.254, pl.63A Footnote: Paolo Caliari, called Veronese (1528-88), Italian Renaissance painter and one of the great masters of the Venetian Schhol. Sarah Malden, later Countess of Essex, was an amateur artist, who executed in the main, copies of earlier pictures in miniature and in enamel.
