Otto Vaeltl (1885 - 1977) - Still Life II presented at the Greater German Art Exhibition 1939 Oil on canvas at bottom right signed "Vaeltl". In original profile frame on reverse side original metal embossed stamp of 1939 with GDK logo and circumscription entry note with name of work ("Stilleben") and artist's signature adhesive label "Einlieferungsbuch 2251" "Kiste m.E" as well as handwritten notes "23" (hall no.) and "292". Lightly damaged in places signs of age. Picture dimensions approx. 94 x 81.5 cm frame dimensions approx. 104 x 92 cm. GDK (Große Deutsche Kunstausstellung) painting in rare original condition. The painter Otto Vaeltl presented himself with his flower still lifes which also appeared on postcards at the GDK on several occasions between 1938 and 1943.
