Lot 7331: Kunst im Dritten Reich

Kurt Schmid-Ehmen (1901 - 1968) - a folder with photographs of his works 1934-43 and a private photo album concerning the Nuremberg Eagle Circa 30 photographs and circa 30 negative images (partly glass). One glass negative of the portrait of Julius Streicher 1934 and a copy of the booking direction for this order. Two photographs (18 x 24 cm) of the "Hockende Züs" in plaster. Including negatives and photographs of "Pflückerin und Sämann" 1935 of the allegories "Glaube" "Kampf" "Opfer" "Sieg" for the Zeppelinwiese in Nuremberg 1936/37 of Gauleiter Adolf Wagner 1936 of the "Speerträgerin" 1937/38 in plaster and bronze of the portrait bust of Reich Treasurer Franz Xaver Schwarz 1937 (with pictures of the conference) of the bust of Otto Nippold (deputy Gauleiter Munich-Upper Bavaria) 1938 of the memorial plaque Wilhelm Bauer 1941 of the sculpture "Pflasterer" 1943 in plaster and bronze as well as the copy of a handwritten Schmid-Ehmen catalogue raisonné from his wife together with further letters and documents. Traces of age the glass negatives and positives damaged. The lot includes a private photo album with circa 40 pictures about the event when the great eagle was erected on the Nazi party rally grounds in Nuremberg. Unique pictorial material from the estate of the artist with numerous photographs taken by his wife. Certificate of provenance available.
