KUNST IM DRITTEN REICH Kurt Schmid-Ehmen (1901 - 1968) - Ehrung Three-dimensional bronze sculpture signed on the plinth Schmid-Ehmen 1939 patina height 164 cm (without plinth). Including a workshop photograph showing the artist doing a pre-study for this sculpture original documents (partially slightly damaged) on the acquisition of the figure by the senior mayor of Litzmannstadt in the year 1944 and on the storage of the sculpture for (tr.) reasons of air raid protection on the reverse side handwritten drafts for replies from the artist with interesting details. Including one exemplar of the magazine Das Bild (number 8/9 1939) with an article about Schmid-Ehmen as (tr.) symbolist of the Reich (therein also the Ehrung). The sculpture offered is an exceptional original that was exhibited at the Great German Art Exhibition in 1941. Certificate of provenance available.
