Born in 1879 in Tiflis, Evseev was close to the Russian Symbolists and exhibited in a number of exhibitions organised by the Union of Russian Artists.
In 1907-1908, he took part in the Salon d'Automne in Paris. It is worth noticing that in 1908, amongst his exhibited works was one entitled 'Le Demon (esquisse)'.
