JOHN KIRBY (1908-1952) American jazz bassist and bandleader, played with Fletcher Henderson and Chick Webb, later included Dizzy in his band, but eventually fell victim to alcohol and died of diabetes at age 43. S.P., 7 1/2" x 9" b/w, a fine portrait nicely signed. Trimmed at margins else very good.$100-150
