1567. HANK KETCHAM (1920 - 2001) American cartoonist, creator of Dennis the Menace. Original signed drawing, 20" x 14 1/2", for Sunday, Sep. 6, 1981 Dennis the Menace comic strip titled "The Surprise Package" in which Dennis shows up before Joey and Margaret with a box containing a "surprise". They try to guess the contents, and Joey finally succeeds, guessing a bull frog. He wins the frog as a prize, and Margaret leaves in disgust, not knowing that she forfeited the second place prize of a snail. Boldly signed in black marker at upper-left. Very good, framed. $150-200
