This lot features a collection of correspondence to Cecil Stoughton from various members of the Kennedy family and other political figures, including ROBERT F, EDWARD M., ROSE, ETHEL, JOAN, EUNICE and SARGENT SHRIVER, JULIE NIXON EISENHOWER, and JOHN CONNALLY to Cecil Stoughton, 1964-1979. Highlights include:
1. KENNEDY, EDWARD M. Autograph Letter Signed ("Ted") and 11 Typed Letters Signed, 4 with additional annotations, 5 possibly autopen, 11 pp, 8vo, Washington, 1963-69, to Cecil Stoughton. With Signed and Inscribed 7 x 5 inch color print photograph of Ted Kennedy and family at Hyannisport.
2. CONNALLY, JOHN. Photograph Signed and Inscribed ("John Connally") twice, 8 by 10 inch color print of Connally with the Kennedys in Dallas, November 21, 1963, with Stoughton stamp on verso, inscribed to Stoughton as Governor of Texas, 1964, additionally inscribed below original inscription, "Much has happened since but the sentiments above are the same / John Connally, Sept 1, 1979," some fading to color.
