Hiroshima. Tokyo: Kenkosha, 1958.

Quarto (347 x 255 mm). 1 color and 164 black and white photographs. Original black cloth, spine and front cover blocked in white, original photo-illustrated dust jacket, original white printed cardboard slipcase (dust-jacket with some wear and small chips at the extremities, slipcase dampstained and rubbed). Domon's signature in black ink, and chop stamp in red ink, on the front blank.

FIRST EDITION, IN THE ORIGINAL SLIPCASE, SIGNED BY DOMON, and with his seal-stamp. One of 'photography's most significant memorials to the defining event in twentieth-century Japanese history... the events are recorded in a careful and respectful way, as if the act of making the book could somehow begin the process of reconciliation and healing' (The Photobook).
