Three Quartets is composed of twelve hand-printed silkscreen prints dated, numbered and signed by the artist. The geometric structure within each one of the twelve prints is based on the proportionate and gradational division of the square on the basis of a theory of proportions originally proposed by the ninth century Arab mathematician Thabit Ibn Qurra and later evolved by the Italian renaissance mathematician Leonardo di Pisa.
