Clark is best known for her photographs, photo etchings, and installations that combine her personal experiences with shared experiences of African-Americans in the United States and Canada. Text is an important element in her work as it reflects various sources of inspiration, from stories of people she has met along the way to graffiti from several cities. Her images convey “the hopes and disappointments of an individual and a race, and the resiliency of the human spirit.”Estimate: $2,000–2,200
