Item Overview

Description

June Brilly (b.1956) HORSERIDING THROUGH THE FOREST signed lower right oil on board 76 by 86cm., 30 by 34in. June Brilly was born into the agricultural and equestrian lifestyle which she now portrays so eloquently in her impressionistic canvases. Born in the Mid West in the state of Illinois, Brilly began her career in the racing industry, a passion which lead her to work in Ireland in 1975. Since that point, Ireland and Kildare in particular, has become her home and from 1982 onwards she has dedicated herself to painting full-time, garnering many commissions of champion horses as well as international events. Her fluid style lends itself to the wide spectrum of natural life which she depicts with such sensitivity. Her success is evident by her many solo exhibitions at The Gorry Gallery, Dublin, Combridge Fine Art, Dublin, Henry-Brett Gallery, Gloucestershire to name but a few. Brilly regularly exhibits at The Killarney Art Gallery, Mulvany Bros, Dublin and Mark Humphreys, New York and her work is held in many public and private collections both nationally and internationally.
