"All this while, I have always imagined myself as Sisyphus. When one is an artist, it is one's fate to bring one's aesthetic burden to an apex and to bring it down again for all eternity... Although challenging and tiring, it is indeed unstoppable. The Falls is my sympathy and empathy towards Sisyphus (and perhaps towards myself).

Each time I paint, I'm haunted by a feeling of loneliness among the crowd, like the unclothed Sisyphus, climbing the mountain one step at a time without a friend for a task that is completely absurd. There is only the wind, the scorching heat or the cold evening rain to whisper his weariness to."
