Notes

Julien-Joseph Ducorron was the star pupil of Balthasar-Paul Ommeganck who reinvigorated landscape painting in Belgium at the end of the 18th century. Ducorron transformed the style of his master, working on large scale canvases where Ommeganck had worked on smaller panels. He became Director of the Academy at Ath, where he lived, and examples of his work can be found in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam (SK-C-283).

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium, which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.
