CATALOGUE NOTE

First published in 1627 entitled Le Théâtre de l'art de charpentier, this work was the first devoted entirely to carpentry. Three further editions were published in the seventeenth century before the present edition, which was expanded by Philippe de La Hire. As well as additional text, it contains a revised introduction, a Table de matières and seven engraved plates.
