the rare drypoint, c.1930-33, on wove paper, first (and only) state, signed in pencil, inscribed 'a speaker of Strange Truths. 1st State. Trial proof', from an edition of approximately four impressions, with wide margins, pale adhesive tape staining in the upper left and right sheet edges, one pin-point fox mark in the image, occasional scattered fox marks in the lower margin, marginal surface dirt and handling creases, otherwise in generally good condition
