Joseph Poole Addey (1852-1922) RIVER DODDER NEAR RATHFARNHAM signed and dated [1910] lower left; inscribed on reverse watercolour over pencil 25 by 36cm., 10 by 14in. Poole Addey frequently painted in Bushy Park, Rathfarnham, often with a party of artists from the Dublin Sketching Club, and at other times in the role of tutor to students at the Metropolitan School of Art on their summer sketching excursions.
