Lot 1504: JOSEPH BENJAMIN DAVOL (American, 1864-1923) "WINTER SUNLIGHT"

Oil on canvas scene shows snow covered ground with bushy trees along snow covered water. Large rock bank is seen in distance covered with snow. A barn is seen atop left under blue sky. Signed bottom right "Davol". Housed in a wide gilt carved wood arts and crafts style frame. Original label to reverse with artist name and title. A fine example of this Ogunquit, Maine artist.

17" x 21".

Minor inpainting bottom right, otherwise very good.
