With Historyâs permission), 1996 Most of the emblematic images of Fidel Castro and the rebels during the revolution were in reality recreations made later with fashion photographers, to propagate more attractive historical images. By resetting and recreating those same images, using his friends and students from the Superior Art Institute, Toirac puts in evidence that history has ceased to be linear, becoming a cyclical and magical process perpetuating that moment.
