Condition Report

The canvas has been relined. The painting has fairly recently been cleaned and restored and is in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no major damages. There are a number of small scattered retouchings throughout, for example one to the roemer and another on the topmost peach, but most are confined to the background or margins. The glass of the flute, and the greens of the cloth and some of the leaves behind the roemer and the peaches have been strengthened, but the great majority of the details of the still life are beautifully preserved. Offered with a later French style gilt wood frame, some damages.
