John Worsley, British 1919-2000- "HMS Discovery" on the Thames; watercolour, signed, titled and dated Dec 16 '71, 25.5x36.5cm Note: John Worsley was a WWII war artist and was purportedly the only one to be captured. He was responsible for the making of the dummy 'Albert RN' as part of an escape attempt. He was president of the Royal Society of Marine Artists and worked as an illustrator for the Eagle comic. He also worked as a police artist in the 1960's.
