JOHN WILLIAM HAYNES (British, 1836-1909) A PENSIVE MOMENT. Oil on canvas interior scene shows a young woman seated in a rocking chair in front of an unseen fireplace. Her head rests in her hand and she sits next to a drop leaf table with tole tray and books. The interior scene features brick floors and bare walls. Signed lower left "JW Haynes". Housed in a good gesso decorated old frame. "P. Shea, London" canvas stamp to reverse. SIZE: 14" x 18-1/2". CONDITION: Very good. 9-92890 (2,000-3,000)
